Making “Talking with my Dad:” meet Frankie

Frankie sits at the center of Talking with My Dad.

A relaxing Saturday afternoon he is spending with his family gets interrupted by an urgent call from his doctor. That call sets off a chain of events Frankie is finding it incredibly difficult to believe.

But regardless of how he feels, his life is about to change forever.

Chris Johnson, seen here in New Year's Eve at Grandma's House, portrays Frankie.

Frankie grew up on the hard-scrabble streets of Brooklyn, N.Y. but was rescued from a potential life off crime by a high school that took him of the streets and set him on the road to suburban, middle class life.

He’s had his bumps along the way, but Frankie has reached a place where he is finally feeling in control of his life, and feeling that, maybe, just maybe, life can start being good for him.

All that is about to change.
